Emoji Repo

Licensing Information

This page explains the licensing terms and conditions for using emojis from Emoji Repo. Please read these terms carefully before using any emoji resources from our website.

1. Emoji Design Copyright

An emoji character and a particular drawing of it are different resources. Artwork belongs to its respective creators or rights holders. EmojiRepo does not grant ownership of Apple, Google, Twemoji, Microsoft, Meta or platform-specific designs.

2. Unicode Standard

Unicode defines characters and sequences. Copying a character uses the receiving app’s font; it does not transfer a license to a particular platform’s image or font.

3. Usage License

Google Noto Emoji’s SVG artwork is distributed under Apache License 2.0. Noto Emoji fonts use a separate Open Font License. Check the license supplied with the specific asset.

Twemoji graphics use Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Microsoft Fluent emoji assets in the open-source repository use the MIT license. Follow the notices and conditions of the exact asset library.

Apple, Meta, TikTok and RedNote artwork is not covered by those open-source licenses merely because it is downloadable here. Check the rights holder’s terms before using a design.

4. Usage Restrictions

Availability of a download is not a blanket personal or commercial license. Permissions for editing, redistribution, resale and branding depend on the resource’s license and any applicable trademark rights.

5. Attribution Requirements

When required by the applicable license, keep copyright and license notices, identify the creator, provide the required license information and indicate modifications. A credit to EmojiRepo alone does not replace credit owed to the artwork’s creator.

6. Disclaimer

EmojiRepo is a directory and download interface. It does not sublicense third-party artwork or guarantee that every design is available for your intended use.

7. Contact Us
